The power across the whole of Lombok island tends to go off as regularly as once a day. We use backup generators when the power goes off this means the aircon will switch off and they need to be switched back on manually when the generator kicks in.
The power flicking on and off constantly also means that the A/C units suffer, during the (very) wet season in December/ January we can have trouble repairing them or adding freon due to the downpour - this is not an excuse though they should have been in good order and we apologize for the problems.
On the food - we agree - it needed an improvement and have brought in a new chef so that our restaurant becomes a feature of the hotel you wont want to miss along with the spa.
