HOTEL BLAKE CHICAGO: Bewertungen, Fotos & Preisvergleich (IL)

Das Hotel liegt direkt neben der Metro-Station LaSalle von dort fährt die blaue Linie direkt zum Flughafen, somit sehr gute Anbindung. Auch wenn das Hotel im südlichen Teil des Loops ist, ist doch alles recht gut fußläufig oder zumindest mit der Metro zu erreichen. Nicht weit weg befindet sich auch ein Trader Joes bzw. Starbucks und 7Eleven. Wir hatten leider nur beim check-in ein kleines Service-Problem, obwohl ich bereits im Juli nach einem Zweitbettzimmer gefragt hatte und ich es auch schriftlich bestätigt bekommen habe, war das Zimmer beim Eintreffen nicht verfügbar, der check-in dauerte dahingehend relativ lange und vorerst musste ich mit einem Doppelbett leben für die erste Nacht, immerhin am Folgetag konnten wir dann umziehen und die Koffer wurden von den Mitarbeitern während wir unterwegs waren in das neue Zimmer gebracht. Als kleine Wiedergutmachung haben wir dann auch einen Gutschein für das anliegende Café bekommen, somit wurde der Fehler zufriedenstellend gelöst. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig, Internet geht sehr schnell und auch das Fitnesscenter ist ziemlich, nur erstaunlich für amerikanische Verhältnisse war die Heizung dort zu hoch gestellt, man konnte sich aber behelfen, in dem man die Fenster etwas geöffnet hat (dank Temperaturen um -20°C). Hotel kann ich jedenfalls getrost weiterempfehlen.…

Gutes und zentrales Hotel

Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Allerdings fiel das Zimmermädchen durch ihr penetrantes Klopfen um 9:30Uhr am Abreisetag negativ auf. Check out war um 12:00Uhr. Das Zimmer war groß und freundlich ausgestattet und das WLAN funktionierte einwandfrei und schnell. Einziger Kritikpunkt war die fehlende Minibar.…

Solides Hotel

Ein solides Hotel in super Lage, ganz nah am Metro, direkte Verbindung zum internationalen Flughafen (blaue Linie ca 40 Min). Großes Zimmer (302), großes Bad, alles sauber, nett modern eingerichtet, Safe, Kaffemaschine aber kein Kühlschrank. Funktionierendes WLAN. Das Hotel bietet selbst kein Frühstück - aber gleich daneben gibt es Cafe bzw. in der Nähe genug Lokale. Das Personal ist nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit…

Preis-Leistung optimal

Das Hotel ist sauber und die Zimmer ausreichend groß, auch den Koffer kann man bequem ausbreiten. Bei uns war sogar ein Sofa mit im Zimmer. Bad und restliche Ausstattung durchaus gut. Der Preis war bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr günstig. Die Lage ist gut. Man ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom südlichen Rand der Innenstadt entfernt, Restaurants/Bars beginnen sogar unmittelbar auf der anderen Straßenseite. Der Williams-Tower mit seiner super spannenden Aussichtsplattform ist etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Vom Flughafen aus kann man mit der Bahn (M Blue-Line) in etwa 45 Minuten für 2-3 Dollar direkt in die Stadt fahren; die entsprechende Haltestelle (LaSalle) ist nur 200m vom Hotel entfernt. Frühstück empfehle ich im Wildberrys, etwa 10 Minuten nordöstlich. Das Hotel war der Ausgang für unsere Tour entlang der Route 66. Der Startpunkt der offiziellen Route - die Chicagoer Börse - ist 200m vom Hotel entfernt ;)…

gutes hotel

ich kann dieses hotel weiterempfehlen. die lage ist super, am unteren ende der einkaufsstraße...also sehr zentral, auch findet man in der umgebung blues clubs. die zimmer sind schön, hell + geräumig. das personal war sehr freundlich und sie haben ein marmorbad...alles tip top!!!…

Many of the older comments talk about ear plugs being provided. We had no ear plugs and spent the first night listening to a large truck beeping at a smaller vehicle from about 1:30 am to 2:30 am. Given we already had a problem with the room being cold and no- one in the building knowing how to work the half broken thermostat we didn't even consider asking- for ear plugs. So my question Blue Green. Is how come the questions or comments go from getting a good view to getting heat in your room- forget the earplugs and Starbucks coffee. The Rishi tea is also gone-replaced by cheap no- taste tea. What a shame.

Does this hotel offer military rate/ discount?

This is not a big chain of hotels( e.g. Hilton etc.), however they offer some corporate discount. I would call them directly and ask before proceeding with your booking.

How long is the travel time from O'Hare Airport to Hotel Blake & where should I get off? How long is travel time to United Center from Blake Hotel & where should I get off?

If you can take the train ( Blue Line) would be the fastest option. However took us only half an hour when we arrive, however it was an hour and half in solid traffic on the way back to the airport when we left. For the United Center the Hotel Blake is very convenient, it was 10 min by taxi with light city traffic.

We are staying at the Blake hotel soon with our 3 young kids. What is within walking distance that would be fun for our kids to do or see?

Walk north up State Street or Michigan Avenue to the Chicago River Walk (at Wacker Drive). Jump on a river excursion boat. Maybe get them up to Navy Pier from there and ride the giant ferris wheel. Catch a cab or Uber back.

What breakfast choices are available around the area? Is it convenient to get to McCormick place convention centre?

There are many restaurants within walking distance and the helpful staff can certainly recommend someplace. I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with the convention center.
