Tranquillo così come l'atmosfera circostante. Fin troppo direi visto che vi abbiamo trascorso il capodanno quasi come fosse una serata tranquilla. Discreta la cucina. Pulire le camere. Senza troppe pretese. In luogo strategico per visitare le attrazioni della zona

La chambre nécessite rapidement une rénovation sérieuse : vitre fendue, murs décrépis et fissurés, plafond de salle de bain présentant des traces d'humidité, voir de moisi... Après 7 heures de randonnées, le plus important c'est d'avoir un lit et une douche, mais il y a des limites! Côtés positifs : chambre très tranquille avec vue sur jardin, lit confortable, hôtel situé à l'arrêt de bus. Le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner nous ont agréablement surpris : délicieuse cuisine régionale, petit déj' avec différents fromages, jambon, etc.

Dopo aver girato con visioni deprimenti gli altri 4 ristoranti di Olivone abbiamo avuto la fortuna di imbatterci nel Minotel Olivone & Posta. Arredamento semplice, quasi turistico. Personale gentile, se lo trovi. Ma in fondo cosa vuoi pretendere in un paesino di nemmeno 1000 anime, fuori dalla stagione turistica? Una volta che si sono resi conto di noi, visione inaspettata, è stato in pratica urlato l'alt alla chiusura della cucina (erano le 21.30) e ci hanno fatto accomodare. Pappardelle con carne secca, pepe nero e olio al tartufo davvero buone. Hnocchi noci e cognac discreti. Crema catalana fredda ma saporita. Non è che si possa pretendere troppo, ma se siete ad Olivone e non avete voglia di perdervi tra le alpi a stomaco vuoto, questo è il posto consigliato. Rispetto ai ristoranti italiani, come tutto in Svizzera, è abbastanza caro.…

Ich übernachtete eine Nacht in diesem Hotel. Das Zimmer war recht altmodisch und dunkel (altmodische Möbel). Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wie auch das Personal (Freundlichkeit) habe ich positiv empfunden. Für einen Zwischenstop kann ich dieses Hotel empfehlen aber kaum für einen längeren Aufenthalt.

A kind welcome awaited us after a hot ride in a top-off exotic car. Functional rooms, as others have said--a little austere--but the rooms at the back look out on very pretty scenery and the garden. Big bonus is the parking lot behind the building, next to the garden, shaded by huge trees. Go right around the Post Office on the corner of the building. Road noise goes away around 6p and starts around 7a, but our room at the back was very quiet, even though there are working farms around and it's haying season (machinery noise). I would suggest allergy meds and later in the summer mozzie DEET. Bath is old-fashioned but adequate (the usual weak Italian water pressure), and lovely cold water from the taps. Ladies take a lighted mirror, cause the bath is dark. Garden is an oasis from the heat, with a bubbling fountain and pleasant views of farms and mountains--a relaxing place to unwind from the hot drive. We were personally welcomed--service is fine, though I would rate the food as average. This is surprising, given the reviews here and the Italian menu. I'm also surprised by the restaurant comments, as the decor is very 70s...lots of wood panelling, and not the quality kind; agree with Stout21 that breakfast is basic, but great local yoghurt. The Lukmanier isn't the most beautiful pass in CH, but there are some attractive side-roads above Biasca. Besides, when the San Gottardo backs up, you have little choice.…
