Hi! I bought tickets to the Gurtenfestival 2018. We are traveling to Geneva for a week and thought it would be fun. I can't find any information online regarding how to get there, what time to line up, what happens when you are there, how do you get to there from Bern. I know it's a 2 hour train from Geneva but that is all. Help?

Hi there, the best thing is to look the information up on gurtenfestival.ch there you get all the information needed for the festival.

From the mainstation of Berne you have to take tram nr. 9 in direction to Wabern. There will be a lot of people and you won't miss it, just follow the crowd. :)

Gurtenfestival takes place on the Gurten mountain. easy reachable by public transport from Bern main station, using the tram and subsequently the cable car. get a day or week pass and enjoy the city. good signage in the city so no worries

Just go at centre of bern..zentrum banhof after find tram with number 9 ... after you will look for gurten stacion ..when you arive just pass thrue other side of the way and you have directions..its easy
