For those who have walked can you describe if it was safe or did you feel uncomfortable or have people approaching you? We are fit and active so we prefer to walk but not if it is ill advised for 2 women alone.

During the day it is safe to walk along the Bay road, as it is quite frequented and many people from the ships walk this way. Even police on bikes is patrolling up and down here and there. We have never heard of anybody being molested on this road.

I don't think you would be mugged or come to harm in that way but it is a narrow, twisty road and I could someone getting hit by a vehicle. Take the taxi - it was about $2 each, each way.
