A very nice mix of Soviet Union items. Not just motorcycles and trucks. Clothing, uniforms, toys, music and books.
Many of the items can be handled, sat in or worn for photos.
Whether you stay an hour or from open to close, there is something for all.

We were visiting the nearby Jewish cemetery, and saw this museum without originally intending to visit. We saw the CCCP sign first and were intrigued, and after venturing closer saw pictures of Lenin, Marx and Engels to the right of the museum sign. There are two old motorbikes mounted outside of the museum, and a few interesting sculptures. The museum was opened in 2014 by V Astafjev. The cost of entry is 200 ruble and there were no english explanations or translating guide. The displays are self explanatory, so a guide is not required. The exhibits are brilliant, and are dominated by old Russian motorbikes.
There are portraits and busts of Lenin, bust of Pushkin. portrait of Stalin and a small bust of Marx. Exhibits also include antique suitcases and electronic equipment. There is even a section of old brands of Russian vodka. The best feature of this museum is that everything may be touched, unlimited photos can be taken and you can wonder around at your leisure without anybody following you, as is the case in some museums. Some of the displays appear to be unchanged from the Soviet era, especially the record players and stacks of vinyl records. There are also a few propaganda posters and old Russian currency exhibited.
Retro museums are becoming popular in Russia, and we had visited a few, but this one was our favourite. We were the only guests during our visit, and although it is not in the most attractive section of the city, it is worth the trip. The easiest way of reaching the museum, is to take tram 1,3,5 or 6 to the Gornaya Street stop, and walk south on Gornaya, which eventually meets Podgornaya Street. If you are travelling from near to Kirov Square, take trolleybus # 3,4,7 or 8 and walk through the Jerusalem cemetery, exit down the steps at the north entrance where the arch and church are located, then turn right on Podgornaya Street.
I visited with my son and had fun explaining how the items from my generation worked. If you have kids this will be an interesting visit for them, but they will have to be closely supervised as most displays will be within their reach.

This place has a huge collection of well-kept old motorbikes from the USSR, -and all kinds of vintage stuff, going back several decades. It will keep you busy for an hour or so. Regarding its location, the TripAdvisor map showed the wrong position when we there, so check the address.
