I have just returned from the Jungle sisters Borneo adventures and what a fabulous time I've had. Alison's knowledge of the culture, food, places to see and her passion for sharing made this trip all the more memorable. we saw and did so much in the two weeks and I return home feeling very privileged to have seen what I had seen and experienced what I have. The jungle trek and the monkey bridge being two if my personal challenges that I achieved. so many people said, "I would love to do that". Anything is possible if you really set your mind to achieving it. I saved for over a year to go on this trip and it was worth so much more than money. Life is too short to have regrets, this tour will be the best experience that you will ever have in appreciating the beautiful natural world and how we must take care of our environment today so that others can see the sights, sounds and natural beauty. My wish is that my grandchildren will one day make this trip to see and experience what their Nona has. An experience of a lifetime.

Alison Pritchard designed a wonderful, well-thought out customised tour for our group of 12 family members. Our trip was all that we could imagine and more; experiencing the natural wonders of Borneo, the great food, and meeting local people who were friendly and welcoming.
In Kuching, Alison arranged for us to visit the Semenggoh Nature Reserve where we saw orangutans feeding, the Bako National Park and the Kuching Wetlands, where we saw proboscis monkeys, silvery langurs, Irrawaddy dolphins, saltwater crocodiles and fireflies at dusk. Alison took us to great eating spots helped choose food that we thoroughly enjoyed, and looked after us very well.
We then flew to Mulu National Park, a very special World Heritage area where we immersed ourselves in the wonders of the caves, with their marvellous formations and enormous bat populations, viewed their evening exodus from the caves - one of the wonders of the natural world - and explored the jungle, discovered unusual wildlife on a nocturnal walk, and experienced the canopy in a skywalk. Alison's caring relationship with local guides at Mulu (where she had previously worked as the park manager) brought an added dimension to the trip, and we got to visit a school, a village market and arrange for locals to have a barbecue on the river with chicken marinated in salty plums, basted with lemongrass favoured oil and smoked in wild ginger leaves!
The tour ended in Kota Kinabalu, where we unwound at the luxurious Marriott Hotel, and celebrated our achievements along the picturesque waterfront.
Alison organised our itinerary, internal fights, accommodation and tours with an eye to our interests and special needs including dietary requirements. She was easy-going, but meticulously checked and double-checked our tours, travel arrangements and bookings, to ensure that all went to plan. The tour catered to the entire group aged from 60+ to an 8 year old. We had an absolutely marvellous time and would not hesitate to recommend Borneo Ethical Adventures to anyone seeking to learn more about Borneo, its people and natural wonders.

Travelling with Alison in Borneo was not just a little break or a chance to tick mysterious Borneo off the list. It was an experience that truly made me feel glad to be alive. I was fortunate enough to share ten days on an Ethical Adventure tailored to the hopes and dreams of an extended family of twelve across three generations. Alison expertly crafted a journey including Kuching, Mulu and Kota Kinabalu. And I know she only just touched on her vast experience of this extraordinary travel destination. The itinerary looked amazingly exciting on paper but the words and photos could not possibly do justice to the adventure itself. Alison was completely attuned to the group’s mood, fine tuning activities to cater for heat, children, budget and travel weariness. She took the hard work out of travelling in an unfamiliar place so I never felt like a stranger in a strange land. Every day unfolded like reading your new favourite book. If you want to travel to feel connected to the earth and to the people of Borneo then look no further.

Just came back from a fabulous trip to Borneo. Alison has a real love for the country, its people, traditions and food, and she showed us the very best of Mulu. Every day was packed full of wow moments!

I had the most incredible time on the Cooking with Culture tour. The pace was perfect, the places we visited were amazing, the guides (especially Ali, of course) were fantastic and I had the opportunity to go on an adventure that was a little bit different to my 'normal' holiday, but in a safe and easy way.
The tour was extremely well organised but with enough flexibility that we could adapt it to the groups' wants and needs. I was also extremely grateful to have my dietary requirements catered to without fuss - this definitely made for a more enjoyable trip for me.
I have already recommended the tour to a number of people and have shared my experiences with anyone who will listen!

Outstanding trip. Alison knows the people, our guides and Sarawak so well. Sarawak is a place I could visit over and over. I would definitely travel with Borneo Ethical adventures again

Wow what an adventure! This has been one of my most favourite travelling experiences ever.
Not really knowing much about Borneo, I thought I would check it out under the recommendation of an incredibly passionate and knowledgeable Alison Pritchard who started Borneo Ethical Adventures. It was so refreshing to go on a tour largely untouched by tourism and to explore the beautiful wilderness of Mulu National Park. We went kayaking, trekking, caving, volunteering, exploring, all the time learning about the fragility and sustainability of culture, the plight of the orangutang and sunbears and the impact of humans on the environment. I got to share time with the local villagers whose generosity of spirit was humbling. I met so many like-minded new friends, challenged myself in so many ways and fell in love with a beautiful country. I plan to be back very soon!!

I have had the fortune of travelling on two Borneo Ethical Adventures and both have been amazing experiences. Alison Pritchard leads an exceptionally well-organised, fascinating and rewarding trip through Sarawak and Sabah; leaving you with warm memories of beautiful people, food, wildlife and new friends. I highly recommend Ali and her company Borneo Ethical - every day provides new learning and new experiences. And at the same time, giving back to community all the way. Do yourself a favour and book a trip of a lifetime...

Just sitting at home reviewing photos from a holiday I arrived back from yesterday. This hoilday was arranged and organised by Ali Pritchard a wonderful woman who lives and breaths her dream. Ali will take you on an amazing journey through Borneo Malaysia to share with her the wonders this part of the world has to offer. Her love for the people and the place is infectious. You will venture thru the streets of the city of Kuching find yourself walking a jungle path in search of the elusive porboscius monkey take a long boat ride to a long house spend a day kayaking along the winding river surrounded by beauty then exploring the depths of caves still being formed along the way making special connections with the people you meet as well as being able to give to those communities through time spend making enrichment treats for the Orangutans and Sun Bears or singing and doing craft with the children of a local school in Mulu.
I would highly recommend you join in on one of the many and varied adventures that Ali has to offer. Her all encompassing care for the environment and people makes your holiday special as she treats you as special too.

Travel for me is not just about having daily adventures, which we did and they were challenging and fun, but also about experiencing new cultures. Because Alison has lived and worked in Borneo she has established relationships with locals and knowledge of the local foods. This bridged the gap between the locals and our group which I think gave us a special experience, kinda priceless.
